Having conventional intimacy with a boyfriend or husband might seem like the standard for many. Yet some struggle because they cannot experience it, while others feel stressed by obligatory, routine sex with their partner. Having different tastes in food and having different sexual preferences are, in my view, not all that different.

Just as some people genuinely love foods that most others dislike, some people naturally hold sexual tastes that stray from the conventional norm.

I am probably one of them.

Many people dislike discussing sex openly, and unconventional sexual preferences can often be met with prejudice.
